The Monster In My Life
The monster in my life is not finding enough time in the day to do what I want to do. I feel like every day there is always so much to get done, and I never have enough time to get it done. Every day I have school, sports, homework, and chores. It’s very hard to find time to do other things like spending time with my family or friends.
This has always annoyed me, that when I finish my home and I look at the clock and see that it’s already time for me to think about going to bed and I still haven’t showered or eaten. The worst for me is that one night where you just have so much work to do you start to break down and malfunction. Last year I remember a couple of nights where I had two tests the next day and a paper to work on and I also had to make sure I’m ready for a presentation later that week. When I go online and check to see all that work I have to do and I see the whole page filled it’s like an instant weight was dropped on my shoulders. There are so many things to see and do in this world and for me, it’s pretty diminishing when I come home and it’s already dark and my day is not even close to over. I hope for all of our sakes that we won’t have to endure a night like that anytime soon. I walk through the door thinking, wow that was a long day and then I remember that my day is not even close to over. This monster has beaten me down many times, but I have great optimism that it won’t be back. I have been striving to be more attentive in class so my homework takes less time to complete. Hopefully, I can spend more time doing what I want to do later this year rather than what I have to do.
