“The best thing about memories is making them.”
I have reached my final year at this great school where I have spent the last four to five years. I have cherished my time here and I will never forget the experiences I had. But in this final year we are already at March break, when it seems like it was yesterday that I was playing volleyball and the leaves were falling from the trees. I can’t believe that it’s almost the end of the line already; I still remember taking my tour here on a rainy day so many years ago. My time here has brought me so much joy and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, this is a bit of a solemn moment because this chapter of my life is coming to a close.
While there will be another chapter ahead, I think back to all those mornings in Ward Hall or driving along Monument Street and first seeing those beautiful white buildings. I have laughed and I have cried and I have made friendships here that I will have for the rest of my life. It’s so strange to think of those days in Lower School; like going on little field trips with Mr. Bird or having flop in the late hours of the school day. It was also a year ago that we were supposed to take our D.C trip which I will always be sad about because I think about all of the memories that I would have made there.
While these days at Fenn are coming to the end for me, I think back to the great times I had, and while I may not be coming back to Fenn’s scenic campus next year, I will never forget the wonderful times I had here.
