Looking Forward

Find Something You Like and Look Forward to it

“Every broken heart has one time or another asked, "What is important to me now?”

“This time is a time to self-reflect, This time is a time to get better at something, this time is a time to spend with your family, this time is a time for you.” No, stop the only thing I know about this time is that it sucks. One thing that I do during quarantine is to find something to look forward to, for example this week I was looking forward to a long weekend. The thing I look forward to the most is playing Xbox with my friends.

I usually play Madden with Will Belle, but I wanted to change it up so we played Fortnite, although it had really died down now it’s really picking back up again. We were playing squads Will Belle, CJ Bailey and I, I figure that I am the best out of the three and they know me to be the best out of all of us.

In our first game we landed at Pleasant Park, it was “first drop” so there is bound to be a lot of people there, but CJ Will and I are all above average so we had a chance of coming out alive. Will and I are something called toxic twards each other which means we are just straight up mean to one and other, but as like a joke but not really a joke. I had 3 kills, Will had 5 and CJ had 1 coming out of Pleasant Park, but me and CJ ditched Will and left him at Pleasant Park so he had to run everywhere, (this is an example of being toxic). There were still 45 people left so it definitely wasn’t over. CJ and I landed on someone in a helicopter and I killed two and CJ killed one, but no I only killed one and Will stole on of my kills, (example of being toxic). I may have screamed at him, but he only laughed at me, which kind of ticked me off. Will still and two more kills than me and my goal was to finish with more kills than him.

Now there were twenty people left, and Will only had one kill more than me, I really, really wanted to get more kills than him and now I was trying to be more toxic because when I am toxic he doesn’t play well, (considering we are on the same team I probably shouldn’t do this, but I did anyway). He reacted just how I wanted he got pissed at me and eventually I died in the final fight and he won it for us and it just shows that karma can bite you.

If I learned one thing from this game is to not be mean because when your mean you should be treated the same way as your treating, so it’s just setting yourself up for failure, and if there is one thing I learned it’s that failure can cure anything.

Relaxation Can Be Good?

When I relax I’m not so relaxed

The one thing that has truly kept me chill throughout this quarantine is video games. From Fortnite to Madden then all the way back to NHL 19. During this time we all need to be able to relax. For me playing games with my friends is my getaway from all of this. Getting to talk to my friends and winning games with them it’s just kind of fun.

Me and Will Belle play Madden NFL 20 together, we usually play against each other, in this case we were playing against each other. I was the Giants and he was the Chiefs. I usually beat him or he rage quits so I was a bad team. Will was being annoying and made me use the Giants, but I was fine with it because they have Saquon Barkley who is one of the best running backs in the game and in the league. Will was the Chiefs because for one he is a massive bandwagon, (likes the teams that are good) and they have really fast wide receivers (Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman) and he runs these cheese plays that get you a touchdown every time, but you need a fast receiver for.

For some reason I always start with the ball so I got it and drove down the field with my 67 overall Daniel Jones and score touchdown. As I did this he almost rage quit. I kicked off to him and he literally returned it for a touchdown and as he did this I threw my controller and I broke, it snapped off. As I broke my controller I hear Will Belle in my ear “Hahaha you mad, or not.” I threw my controller again and it broke more. Will Belle knew what he was doing. Next drive I threw a deep pass, intercepted. Wow! Will is in my ear again. He ran one of his cheese plays and scored a touchdown, it was a buzzer beater. Again, he was laughing at me. Go through the game, now it’s the fourth quarter, 22-20 I am winning, 30 seconds left, he is kicking a field goal I iced the kicker, (makes the kick almost impossible.) Of course he makes it, I have 27 seconds left to get a field goal, driving down field, I’m in range and I throw a pick-6, I rage quit.

There dead and done. I was done. It was over, but I had fun, I guess you could say, but I was completely done for the night. “Hahahahhahahahahahahhahahah” and that is how it ended.

NFL Free Agency

Changes Happen for a Reason

One thing that I’ve found very interesting is NFL free-agency. Tom leaving is too much to absorb. Or how the Titans paid RYAN TANNEHILL (the same guy that has a 500. record in his career) and didn’t pay Derrick Henry (the same guy that singlehandedly beat the Pats and Ravens in the playoffs). The Honey-Badger had something to say about this. First topic is of course Tom Brady’s departure from New England. Some will blame the Patriots, but that’s crap. Tom wanted money, 0 loyalty, 25 million a year for two years, over who knows how much money, to continue a legacy that he started in the place that took a chance on him in the sixth round almost twenty years ago. I just cannot cope with this. Why? Some might say it’s because Belichick tried to trade him to the 49ers 3 years ago, of course he tried to trade him. An expiring 39 year old quarterback, who is on the last year of his contract, wow Tom that is unbelievable. (Complete sarcasm). Joe Montana another great quarterback said. "I don't know what's going on inside there, but somebody made a mistake,” I just don’t understand his side of the argument. Next year might get delayed because of Covid, but we just have to trust Bill Belichick. The 9-7 Titans snuck into the playoffs and had a so to say “tough” first matchup with the Patriots. The entire football world knew the Titans game plan give the ball to Derrick Henry. The Patriots knew too, but still couldn’t stop him he ran for a whopping total of 34 times. 34 times for 184 yards and a touchdown. As “the franchise quarterback” Ryan Tannehill threw for a massive total of 15 times and only completed 8 of those. He had a touchdown, a pick, 72 yards and 2 fumbles luckily of which none were lost. As the Titans upset the Patriots. I’m not a Tannehill hater, I just think he is garbage. In the next game against the Ravens the Titans won again behind Derrick Henry’s 30 runs for 195 yards and a passing touchdown, he was lights out. I don’t want to say this, but Tannehill actually played well, but still only threw 14 times for 2 touchdowns 88 yards and he ran one in. So the Titans advance to play the Super-Bowl winning Chiefs and lost. Tannehill played okay missing a couple of throws, but throwing 21 times for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns. As Henry ran 19 times for 69 yards and a touchdown. I’m not trying to takeaway from Tannehill, but as a NFL quarterback it’s not that hard to throw for 200 yards and a couple touchdowns when the other team is expecting a run every single play. As I said in the beginning Tyrann Mathieu the Pro-Bowl safety who also has a super bowl ring with the Chiefs from this year said, “Damn they paid the QB but the RB who made the QB job 75% lighter he don’t get no love. Boy it’s cold, thank God that man come from a good family.“ This didn’t surprise me because Mathieu had to tackle Henry in the conference championship against the Titans. In free agency the Titans franchised taged Derrick Henry and PAID Tannehill. They paid him almost 30 million a year for a guy who has won the same amount of games as he has lost. One word. Wow. Just wow..... This years free agency will go down as one of the craziest of all time.
