Since I could walk I have been a bruins fan. And for about a decade I have been playing hockey. Hockey has been my biggest pastime since I was four and will continue to be for many more years. As a bruins fan I have been loyal and have stuck through the hard times. In the 2009 and the 2010 playoff series the Bruins lost game 7 on my birthday. I am and was a diehard bruin’s fan, so those disappointments hurt, but in 2011 they bruins had an amazing and unexpected run and won the Stanley Cup. After that year I thought they could never lose again, but the next year they lost first round to the underdog Washington Capitals. It was a disappointment for me, but expected of previous Stanley cup champions. This year started off really well, we were top of the NHL in the first few weeks, but as the year went on they dropping in the standings. They ended up fourth in Eastern conference, which is well in playoff positioning, but not as high as a seed that they would like. We got the Maple Leafs In the first round and what seemed like a routine victory for the bruins turned into an amazing series. It went into the 7th game and it seemed like Toronto was going to win easily with a 4-1 lead, but then the bruins made history and became the first team to overcome a three goal deficit to win a game in game seven of the playoffs. It was one of the most stressful nights of the year, but they pulled through. Being bruins fan has raised my stress levels considerably, but for all of you who do not watch hockey playoff hockey need to. It is one of the most exciting things in sports.
