Windsor Mountain Reflection

Windsor Mountain, a Life Changing Experience

“I feel like we’re the frat”

My opponent, a man who tours over me like the Burj Khalifa tours over Dubai. We come face to face like the UFC fighters, yet this is not a brutal UFC fight. It is a game of ping pong. His huge intimidating frame towers over me, and I hear him say in a pleasant Australian accent say, “Ready to lose mate?” Due to his huge size and skill with the paddle. I knew I would have to switch up my style of play. Unlike the other days were the heavens opened up and let fall endless sheets of bombarding rain, for today was the day any golfer desires. He hits the little orange ball with as much force as football player hits his opponent. I am close to defeat, for it would take a miracle for me to win this match. The game ends, but I played a respectful game by losing by six points. Throughout my time at Windsor Mountain I faced many challenges, but I had to learn to overcome them.

One side playing soccer; the sport I passionately loved. The other playing a sport I was unfamiliar with, basketball. Sure, I had watched LeBron James fabled skills on television, but I’d never really played the sport. Walker asked to the me, “Have you ever shot a basketball before?” I simply replied, “never” Walker handed the me a basketball. It was about the same size of a soccer ball , but the texture of the ball was very different. He then said, “Shoot it.” Without any experience of basketball, I shot the basketball. It was a horrendous shot, and I terribly missed. “I’ll never be good at basketball.” I said to myself, but I didn’t know that soon I would have to play basketball

Imagine If the Soviet Union Reunified Today

A Former Superpower Reunified

If you look at great human civilizations, from the Roman Empire to the Soviet Union, you will see that most do not fail simply due to external threats but because of internal weakness, corruption, or a failure to manifest the values and ideals they aespouse.” -Cory Booker

Imagine this year all fifteen countries part the once Global Superpower Soviet Union reunified today. What would be the case of the geography, government, religion, economy, influence, and military of the Soviet Union. Would all hell break loose, and would Democracy’s begin to panic. Would there be a possibility a of a Third World War?
